"I don’t have the time to create content"

How many times a week do you think this when it comes to your business?

How long has this kept you from allowing your business to get to the next level? Or for some, maybe even stopped you from starting because of lack of know-how, inspiration, gear fear and more.

It’s not enough to know how to create content, no, as a busy mom you need to create content effortlessly, on the go, and without fluff.

NOT SHOWING UP IS KEEPING YOU BROKE

After polling my community I found most people find content creation a hassle.

Here’s the problem with that - NOT showing up online keeps your business stuck. It impacts your brand visibility and alienates you from your current and potential clients. Making it harder to sell and make money.

I create 30 pieces of content weekly while still running a full household (homeschooling my 4 kids, running other businesses with my husband, caring for our 3 dogs, and everything in between).

What About Gear?

You’re overthinking again. The bells and whistles may be fun, but they aren’t always conducive when you’ve got seconds to create a video or snap a photo. Here are the 3 things you absolutely need to create content on the fly:

  1. Camera

    1. which I recommend being your smart phone to begin

  2. A stabilizer

    1. books, a water bottle, or a tripod if you want to get fancy

  3. Lighting

    1. The sun does a pretty good job of this but if you want artificial lights I recommend this one

My “wants and needs” page has a library of my most-used content gear for behind-the-scenes gigs, youtube video creation and short-form videos which you can check out.

Ok, But I’m Ready to Elevate My Content

All right, you’ve mastered these basics, now what?

The next investments I would make in this order would be:

  1. A microphone

    1. I personally use this mini mic for IG Stories

  2. A sturdy tripod

    1. I know there are many portable tripods trending across tik tok. But I have 4 children, 3 of which are still in the toddler/kids age. My tripod gets knocked down at least a few times per week and thankfully, it’s still standing. I can do a whole review on the Joby Action (just let me know if you would be interested in that) because it is truly the sturdiest tripod I’ve used for on-the-go.

  3. A camera

    1. again, not necessary. But if you’re getting into long-form content or are playing with your stylistic choices, a camera like the Canon G7x mark ii is a great option. She’s still at the investment tier, but she’s worth her weight.

In this unstuck session you will receive the clarity and guidance to achieve your goals as a busy mom and entrepreneur in the next 30 days.
